Roddy with his girls at the Texas State Championships
Roddy Lloyd, owner of Squeeze
Play, is a business owner with a passion for the greatest game on earth, baseball and
softball, and for kids and athletes learning to play it to the best of their potential. With over 30 years of experience in
the game, from high school center fielder to fast-pitch men's coach of Texas State champions, to an 18 year old ladies' select
fast-pitch softball team, Roddy has developed an affinity toward the game that has resulted in Squeeze
Play, the premier indoor baseball and softball training facility in Northeast Texas.
Roddy's philosophy is that life skills can be learned from playing ball. It's about being prepared mentally, physically and spiritually. When someone or some thing in life tries to put you out, the one best prepared usually wins. It's also learning that no matter how good you are, you cannot win alone. It takes working together with your teammates to accomplish a goal larger than yourself. Life is the same way. An athlete that learns this early will not only be a better ballplayer, but a better citizen and person. Squeeze Play offers professional instruction for baseball and softball, click on an instructor to view their personal page.
